Two from Salem were arrested over the weekend on drug charges, included possession of Cocaine.
Devin Coomer, 25, and MaKallie Quick, 20, both from Salem, fled a Scott County hospital and led police on a short foot chase.
At approximately 4:00 pm, troopers Tyler Matthew and Kyle Taylor went to the Campbell’s Motel in Scottsburg in reference to a possible stolen vehicle being in the parking lot of the motel.
They were looking for Devin Coomer, 25, from Salem, IN, who had an active arrest warrant.
The vehicle turned out not to be stolen but, when the troopers attempted to make contact with Devin Coomer at his room, he and his alleged girlfriend, MaKallie Quick, 20, also from Salem, IN, fled the motel room out of a back window.
After a short foot pursuit both subjects were captured.
A subsequent search of the motel room they were in revealed a syringe, a spoon with burnt white residue and suspected heroin.

Coomer was charged with Unlawful Possession of a Syringe, Possession of Cocaine or a Schedule 1 or 2 Narcotic Drug, Possession of Paraphernalia, Maintaining a Common Nuisance and an out of county arrest warrant.

MaKallie Quick was charged with Unlawful Possession of a Syringe, Possession of Cocaine or a Schedule 1 or 2 Narcotic Drug, Possession of Paraphernalia and Maintaining a Common Nuisance.
Both subjects were incarcerated at the Scott County Jail.
