James “Jay” Douglas, 75, of Corydon, died Tuesday, February 27, 2018, at Norton Brownsboro Hospital in Louisville. He was born January 15, 1943, in Warren County, Kentucky, to the late James Noel “Jim” Douglas and Mildred Welch Douglas.

He was a line maintenance machinist for Philip Morris in Louisville where he retired after 32 years, was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War, was a member of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers local 681, was a life
member of the Harley Owners Group and the National Rifle Association, was a member of the American Motorcycle Association and the Kentuckiana Clarksville H.O.G. chapter, was a member, road captain and safety officer of the Lincoln Trails Harley Owners Group in Radcliff, Kentucky, was a charter member of the Georgetown Baptist Church, and was a member of the Corydon Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Saundra McCormack Douglas; his son, Eric Douglas; and his brother, Gary Douglas.

Survivors include his daughter, Tammy Alcorn (Tim) of Corydon; and his grandchildren, Amelia, Ethan and Thomas Alcorn.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Friday, March 2, 2018, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.

Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to the American Diabetes Association.
