Bank Robbery Occurred in Wolcottville Suspect Sought

The Indiana State Police, along with numerous police agencies responded to a reported bank robbery at the Farmer’s State Bank, located in the 100 block of North Main Street in Wolcottville earlier this afternoon.

Preliminary investigation by State Police Detectives indicated at approximately 2:52 p.m., a shirtless white male with a moustache and beard, who was wearing a dark-colored ball cap and carrying a dark-colored backpack entered the bank and demanded money.

The suspect then exited the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash and fled on foot northbound before running west down a nearby alley.  He was last seen driving from the area in what appeared to be a silver or light blue colored Ford Crown Victoria or Mercury Marquis.

Assisting at the scene were the Wolcottville Police Department, Rome City Police Department, LaGrange County Sheriff Department, Noble County Sheriff Department and the LaGrange Police Department.
