Indiana Department of Transportation contractor Dave O’ Mara Contractor Inc. plans to close the S.R. 135 bridge over Half Mile Creek near Vallonia in Jackson County on or after Monday, June 7, for a deck overlay project.
The bridge is expected to remain closed for up to 75 days, through mid-to-late August, with an official detour that will follow S.R. 235 and U.S. 50. The $443,000 contract was awarded in April.
Motorists are reminded to slow down, use extra caution, and drive distraction-free in and near all work zones. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
