Donald Lee Nicholson, 80, Orleans, Indiana; formerly of Paoli Indiana, passed away on Monday, July 12, 2021, at his residence. He was born in Paoli, Indiana on August 3, 1940, to Norman Banks and Leota Mae King Nicholson. Donald married Mary Lou Grimes on May 5, 1962, and she survives.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Karen Sue Buchanan.
He was a member of the Paoli First Baptist Church. Donald was a 1958 graduate of Paoli High School. He retired from Carpenter Body Works. Donald enjoyed IU Basketball and westerns. He was a LA Dodgers Baseball fan.

Wife: Mary Nicholson, Orleans, Indiana
Sons: Donald D. and Angel Nicholson, Woodbridge, Virginia
Daniel L. and Pam Nicholson, Orleans, Indiana
4-Grandchildren; Joshua Nicholson and Jessica Nicholson of Indianapolis, and Noah and Sarah Nicholson of Virginia also survive Donald Lee Nicholson.
Visitation will be from 10:00 AM-2:00 PM, Thursday, July 15, 2021, with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 PM at Dillman-Scott Funeral Home located at 226 W. Campbell St. Paoli IN 47454.
Interment will be in the Mt. Gilead Cemetery.
Phillip Andry will officiate.
