Mary Ethel Motsinger, age 85, of Salem, Indiana passed away Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at Ascension St. Vincent Salem Hospital. Born June 11, 1936 in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Edna Mae Harvey. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Perry Lee Motsinger, who passed away April 5, 2016.
Mary was a caretaker of a women’s group home for 30+ years and a loving mother to Teresa (Rick) Nichols of Salem, Mike (Karen) Hobson of Pekin, Rhonda Motsinger of Kingsport, Tennessee, Gerald (Jackie) Motsinger of Salem, and Todd (Angie) Motsinger of Salem, as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Her siblings are Patricia Eisert of Plainfield, Sandy (Ronnie) Morris of Salem, Richard (MaryLynn) Emery of Indianapolis, Brenda (Gary) Twaddle of Salem, and Gary (Connie) Emery of Louisville.
A celebration of life will be held at Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home-Salem Chapel on Friday, December 10, 2021 at 3:00 p.m.; visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Mary’s memory to the Washington County Community Foundation.
