James Wilbur Snelling, 82, of Jeffersonville, passed away at 11:10 PM on December 11, 2021 at his home surrounded by many family, friends and brothers and sisters in Christ.
He was born April 3, 1939 in Jeffersonville, IN, the son of Reverend Graham and Margie Snelling.
He was married to Terry Lee (Coots) Snelling for over 65 years and she survives.
Jim was a Kentucky Colonel, a restauranteur, loved horses and horseback riding. He enjoyed retirement as a driver for John Jones Auto group. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and an avid John Wayne fan.
He is survived by his wife; one son, David Snelling; two daughters, Kim Baggerly and Renee Graves; eleven grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Billy Joe and Ronnie and one son, Ricky Lee Snelling.
The graveside service will be on Friday, December 17, 2021 at Mt. Carmel cemetery in Orange County with Pastor Tim Reliford officiating.
