Donald R. Batman, 83, of Palmyra, Indiana died on October 20, 2024 at Todd-Dickey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Leavenworth, Indiana. Donald was born on February 5, 1941 in Marengo, Indiana to the late Walter Q. and Chloie B. (Vance) Batman.
Donald was owner and operator of Grantline Service Center for 13 years and Batman Service Center for 10 years. Donald was a member of the Milltown Christian Church and attended New Salisbury Christian Missionary Church.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Donna Thomas; stepson, Brandon Dye; brothers, Alvin, Bob, Dale, Jerry, and Meredith Batman; sisters, Doris Enlow, Mary Jean Benham.
His wife, Ethel C. (Gavin) Batman succeeded him in death on October 22, 2024.
He is survived by his stepson, Brent Hensley (Renee) of Corydon, Indiana; stepdaughters, Beth Rodewig (Mike) of New Albany, Indiana, Becky Allee (Jeff) of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, Bobbi Linker (Greg) of Corydon, Indiana; 12 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be on Sunday, October 27, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Milltown, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Union Chapel Cemetery near Milltown, Indiana.
Visitation will be on Saturday, October 26, 2024 from 11:00 am until 7:00 p.m. and on Sunday, after 1:00 p.m. until time of the service at 3:00 p.m., all at the Brown Funeral Home, 306 Spring Street, Milltown, Indiana 47145.
Bro. John Hall and Bro. Eric Satterfield will officiate the service.
