Thelma Goldsberry, 91, of Salem, passed away on Monday, March 17, 2025, at Hoosier Christian Village in Brownstown. Born September 6, 1933, she was the daughter of the late James Floyd Moore and Nellie (Lonsberry) Freeman. On November 2, 1953, she married James Goldsberry, who preceded her in passing in 2010.
Thelma retired from the Medora Plastics Factory with 28 years of service, and was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Vallonia.
Thelma is survived by 3 children: Joyce Cobb (Hugh), Dennis Goldsberry (Janie), and Teresa Davidson (Robbie); a brother, Kenneth Moore; 2 sisters: Shirley Wheeler and Linda Strange; 6 grandchildren: Nathan, Whitney, April, Autumn, Kaitlynn and Dustin; and 3 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Goldsberry; a son, Keith Goldsberry; 2 brothers: Gerald Moore and Russell Moore; and 2 grandchildren: Aaron and Megan.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 21, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home – Salem Chapel, with Chris Criminger officiating. Visitaion will be on Friday from 12 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery.
