Borden Man Arrested for Sexual Battery, Domestic Battery, Strangulation and Criminal Confinement

Shortly before midnight last night, troopers from the Indiana State Police Post at Sellersburg were dispatched to 2913 Crone Road in Borden, (Clark County), for a domestic disturbance.

After troopers arrived and investigated the reason for the call, they learned, Joshua D. Burton, 29, resident of the home, had allegedly committed Sexual Battery, Strangulation, and Criminal Confinement on a female whom was allegedly living at the home with him.

He was arrested and transported to the Clark County Jail where he was incarcerated on the charges of, Criminal Confinement, C Felony, Sexual Battery, D Felony, Strangulation, D Felony and Domestic Battery, D Felony.

This investigation is continuing.

ISP Traffic Stop Made-Dope Arrest Made

This morning shortly before 3:00 am, Trooper Rob Caudill and Trooper Nathan Abbott of the Indiana State Police Post at Sellersburg arrested Donald Eugene York, Jr., (47), of Lexington, (Scott County), and Amy Michelle Hether, (39), of Charlestown, (Clark County), for numerous drug related offenses.

The arrests were the result of a traffic stop conducted by the troopers on State Road #403 at Greenleaf Road in Sellersburg.

During the traffic stop for Left of Center, troopers searched the 2002 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Amy Hether, and located Methamphetamine, Controlled Substances and Paraphernalia.

Both subjects were incarcerated at the Clark County Jail and are being held without bond.

Donald E. York, Jr., was charged with Dealing in a Controlled Substance, B Felony; Dealing in Methamphetamine, B Felony; Possession of Controlled Substance, D Felony; Possession of Methamphetamine, D Felony; Maintaining a Common Nuisance, D Felony and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, A Misdemeanor.

Amy M. Hether was charged with Dealing in a Controlled Substance, B Felony; Possession of a Controlled Substance, D Felony; Possession of Methamphetamine, D Felony; Maintaining a Common Nuisance, D Felony and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, A Misdemeanor.

The Charlestown City Police Department assisted in this investigation.

Three arrested for Campbellsburg Break-In

Three young adults have been arrested this morning by the Washington County Sheriff’s Department after information left at the scene of a break in led police to their door.

Arrested were Ashley N. Miller, 26; Stephen A. Morgan, 21 and Jeffrey A Petty II, age 24.

Interviews early on Dec. 10 led to the arrest of these three and the confiscation of a large amount of stolen cash, jewelry and marijuana.

Charges are pending.

On December 9, at 8:40a Campbellsburg Town Marshal David Nicholson was contacted by John Dixon, a salesman at Mid-Way Auto in Campbellsburg about a break in at the business, located at 187 West State Road 60.

Upon arrival, Nicholson noticed a door on the west side of the building had been broken into.

Reported missing were a Liberty safe with an undetermined amount of cash and jewelry.

According to Sheriff Claude Combs, articles found at the scene led police to a residence on Possum Hollow Road.

A person of interest was transported to the jail for questioning, which led to the following two individuals being interviewed early this morning.

At this time the investigation is ongoing and police are awaiting the interview of another person of interest. Brad Naugle and the City of Salem Police Department also helped in this case.
