Frederick P. Shope, of Crandall
Frederick P. Shope, of Crandall, Indiana, formally of Vandergrift and
Apollo, Pennsylvania, passed away on March 30, 2018 surrounded by his
family.
He was born April 10, 1942 to the late Raymond C. and Dorothy L.
Shope of Vandergrift, Pa.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force; upon completion of his service he
was employed by Liberty Mirror in Brackenridge, Pa.; after retiring he was
employed by the Apollo Ridge School District.
Upon retiring from the school district, he and his wife traveled across the United States going from border to border and coast to coast.
Among some of Fred’s favorite pastimes were walking the beaches, playing cards, and visiting with his friends and family.
He was preceded in death by an infant Son and Grandson.
Fred is survived by his wife of 58 years, Victoria (Vicki); his Son, Bruce A.
(Diane) Shope of Greenville, IN; his Son, Frederick C. (Daneise) Shope of
Blacklick, OH; his Son, Brian R. (Charlotte) Shope of Stanwood, WA; 10
Grandchildren and 12 Great Grandchildren.
Services were performed by Swarens Funeral Home, Ramsey, Indiana.
Burial will be private per Mr. Shope’s request.
There will be a memorial service in Indiana at a later date.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Kindred
Hospice of Jeffersonville, Indiana in Fred’s name.
Ellen M. Stonecipher, age 85
Ellen M. Stonecipher, age 85 passed away Saturday, March 31, 2018.
Ellen was born August 18, 1932 at Campbellsville, KY to the late Basil and
Ruth Bault. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester J. Stonecipher.
Surviving are sons, Raymond, Harry, Jesse & Billy Stonecipher all of
Ramsey. Daughters; Joyce Williamson (Jack) of Rochester, New York,
Mary Helen Laws (Roger) of Marengo, IN, Peggy Price (Leon) of Elizabeth,
IN, Frieda White (Cecil) of Ramsey, IN, Judy Stonecipher of Brandenburg,
KY. Brothers, Garnett & Leonard Bault of Campbellsville, KY, Sisters,
Betty Willis and Mary Evelyn Bault of Campbellsville, KY.
14 Grandchildren and 17 Great Grandchildren
Funeral 1 P.M. Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at Swarens Funeral Home, 1405 Hwy
64 NW, Ramsey, IN with burial in Milltown Cemetery.
Visitation 10 A.M. to 1 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
