Carl Ernest Hart of Salem, Indiana passed away Thursday, April 14, 2016 at 6:58 am in his residence at the age of 30 years, 9 months and 21 days.

He was born June 24, 1985 in Ft. Worth, Texas. Carl was the son of Gregory and Cheryl (Miller) Hart.

He had been a supervisor with a communications call center.

His survivors include: Father: Gregory Hart and Mother Cheryl Hart, both of Salem. 2 brothers: Christopher Michael Mowry of Cortland, NY, John Anthony Hart of Salem and his maternal grandmother Donna Irene Miller.

He was preceded in death by Uncle and Aunt: Charlie & Pamela Jane Hart.

There will be a Funeral Service at 7:00 pm Tuesday at Dawalt Funeral Home with visitation from 4 to 7 pm Tuesday at Dawalt Funeral Home.

Donn M. Gould, age 88 of Salem, passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at 7:05 pm, in Salem Crossing.

Born March 6, 1928 in Saltillo, Indiana, he was the son of the late Orel and Ruby (Hays) Gould. He was a member of the Saltillo Christian Church, served in the Armed Forces as a Private 1st Class in the U.S. Army and had been a life resident of Washington County.

Donn was a 1946 graduate of the old Campbellsburg High School, a 50 year 32nd degree mason and member of the Rob Morris Masonic Lodge #282 F. & A.M. Of Campbellsburg.

He married April 8, 1950 to Lela R. (Haley) Gould, who survives.

Also surviving are: 1 Brother: Lawrin Gould, Saltillo and 1 Sister: Shirley Hamilton, Campbellsburg.

He was preceded in death by 3 brothers, William, Keith and Charles Hays Gould and 2 sisters, Jean Tolbert and Mary “Betty” Wineinger.

Funeral Service: 11:00 am Monday at Dawalt Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Berry officiating.

Visitation: 4 to 8 pm Sunday and after 9 am Monday.
Interment at Saltillo Cemetery with full military honors.

Louisville: Helen W. Durnil, age 90, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April

13, 2016 at Norton Suburban Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born

September 11, 1925 in Louisville, Kentucky to Allen B. and Lucy (Butler) Wood.

Her father was the Port Captain of Louisville during the 1950’s.

Helen leaves behind her loving husband of 70 years, Robert Durnil, and one son,

Michael W. (Glenda) Durnil of Louisville, Kentucky, and five grandchildren and six

great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one son Martin L. Durnil.

Helen was a retired nurse and worked at a private practice doctor’s office in the

Fern Creek area. She was a member of Midway Christian Church in Midway,

Kentucky.

Her many interests included a love of reading, spending time with her family,

knitting and crocheting. She was a skilled seamstress and had worked part time in

alterations.

Cremation was chosen and a private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Services were in the care of Love Funeral Home in Palmyra, Indiana

Mr. John Earl Hoyt age 90 of Pekin passed away Wednesday, April 13 at Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany.

Mr. Hoyt was born June 20, 1925 in Pekin the son of Earl R. and Mary Van Horn Hoyt.  He was a retired Chemical Engineer for Bechtel.  He was a Korean War Army veteran.  John was a member of Pekin United Methodist Church and Sons of the American Revolution.

John is survived by a nephew:  Richard Hoyt (Carolyn) of Salem, a niece:  Joan Brewer of Yorba Linda, California, two great-nieces:  Tiffany Hoyt Smith (Nick) of Bloomington and Tamarya Hoyt Johnson (Scott) of Nashville, Tennessee, and three great-great-nephews:  Collin and Caden Smith and Connor Johnson.

He was preceded in death by a brother:  Charles Raymond Hoyt, a sister:  Helen Brewer, his parents, and a great-nephew:  Randy Brown.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00AM at Weathers Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery with military honors.  Visitation will be Friday from 4-8PM and Saturday from 9AM-time of service at the funeral home.

Mr. Warren L. Mull age 68 of Salem passed away Wednesday, April 13 at his home.

Mr. Mull was born August 15, 1947 in Clark County, Indiana the son of John and Olive LeRue Corn Mull.  He was a retired truck driver.  He was a Vietnam War Air Force veteran and a member of Living Church of God.

Warren was preceded in death by his wife:  Patricia Alexander Mull, a sister:  Joyce Carroll and his parents.  He is survived by two daughters:  Kimberly Briscoe of Pekin and Lora Sluder of Hobart, Indiana, two step-sons:  Frank and Marty Danser both of Florida, a step-daughter:  Mindy Arrowood of Pekin, two brothers:  Donald Mull of Salem and Jerry Mull of Pekin, a sister:  Jeannie Cook of Pekin, two grandchildren:  Wesley Mull and Kaitlyn Hortenberry and several step-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 2:00PM at Weathers Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Martinsburg Cemetery.   Visitation will be Monday from 10AM-time of service.
