Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Reggie Wayne tore his ACL during the win over the Broncos Sunday night. The team announced that Wayne will miss the rest of the season.
Head Coach Chuck Pagano was sullen in relaying the news at his Monday afternoon press conference.
“We hate to lose anybody, but, you know, this one — this one really stinks,” Pagano said. “You don‘t just replace guys like 87 (Wayne).”
Pagano says Wayne told him he will be back with the team after recovering from his injury. It‘s not known if the team will promote from within to fill Wayne‘s absence, or make a trade for a wide receiver. The NFL trading deadline is October 29th.
