Some of the highlights again include the annual T-shirt giveaway game, bobblehead night, Boilermaker Kids Club games and two blackout contests this year.

The first “Boilermaker Blackout” game will come Nov. 14, when defending national champion Villanova comes to town for the Gavitt Games. Fans are encouraged to wear black to this game as Mackey hosts a non-conference defending national champion for the first time in almost 50 years.

Fans are reminded that Villanova (and Indiana) tickets will only be available with the purchase of mini plans and season tickets. Single-game tickets will NOT be available for these two contests.

The second “Boilermaker Blackout” contest will come Feb. 18, against Michigan State.

The annual T-shirt giveaway game will come Sunday, Jan. 8, as preseason Big Ten favorite Wisconsin visits Mackey Arena for the only meeting between the two Big Ten heavyweights. Student-section tickets (sections 115 & 116 only) for the general public are available for just $25.

Two bobblehead games are in the works this winter, the first coming Jan. 1, against Minnesota with the PurduePete Bobblehead series. The first 1,000 fans to purchase a student-section ticket at $20 will automatically receive a current Purdue Pete bobblehead with their ticket.

Senior Night will take place Feb. 28, with the regular-season home finale against Indiana.

Finally, Purdue basketball will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the movie “Top Gun” on Jan. 17, against Illinois. Fans can donate a canned food item for an exclusive Top Gun-themed poster and the first 1,500 students through the gates will receive free aviator sunglasses.
