Pekin and New Albany Men Arrested for Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material

Cybertips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) led to the arrest of two Floyd County men on Wednesday for possession of child sexual abuse material following two separate investigations.

The first investigation began after investigators received multiple cybertips from NCMEC between September 2025 and March 2026.

 
These tips were initially reported to NCMEC by an electronic service provider and indicated that an individual was suspected of uploading images depicting child sexual abuse material.
 
As part of the investigation, a search warrant was secured for the residence of 58-year-old Timothy Lee Newberry of Pekin, Indiana (Floyd County).

Newberry was located at his home on April 15, and as a result of the search and subsequent investigation, he was arrested for 19 counts of Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material, each a Level 5 Felony.

This investigation and warrant service were conducted by members of the Indiana ICAC Task Force, consisting of the Indiana State Police and the Jeffersonville Police Department. Detectives and Troopers from the Indiana State Police – Sellersburg Post also assisted.

The second investigation began in March 2026 when the Indiana State Police received cybertips from a social media provider indicating that an individual had allegedly uploaded images depicting child sexual abuse material. As part of this investigation, a search warrant was obtained for the residence of 31-year-old Jesse Edward Cain Worley of New Albany, Indiana. Worley was located at his home on April 15, and as a result of the search and subsequent investigation, he was arrested for one count of Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material, a Level 5 Felony.

This investigation and warrant service were conducted by Indiana ICAC Task Force members consisting of the Indiana State Police, the Scott County Sheriff’s Department, and the Jeffersonville Police Department. Detectives and Troopers from the Indiana State Police – Sellersburg Post also assisted.

Both individuals were incarcerated at the Floyd County Jail.

The Indiana Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force is a multiagency task force that investigates and prosecutes individuals who use the internet to sexually exploit or entice children. The Indiana State Police oversees the task force.
